NICHE: HUF

If you know anything at all about sneaker culture there’s no doubt you have heard of Huf. Huf was started in 2002 in San Francisco by pro skateboarder Keith Hufnagel. Huf was one of the first sneaker boutique concepts that I had ever heard of at the time. Since then they have set the standard for all other stores. They have released top-notch collaborations with Adidas, Nike, DVS and Reigning Champ to name a few. They have also opened a LA store and launched a full fledged apparel line. NICHE is proud to be hand picked as the exclusive North Carolina retailer for Huf apparel. Below is the first drop we have just received.

freeman bikes

freeman packable bike

a cool montana company by the name of freeman bikes just changed the way people in cities can commute to work, play, or wherever else one may want to go. they designed a bike that breaks down and fits into a nice bag. this may have been done before, but not with level of craftsmanship that freeman puts into their machines. on a side note, their cow skull logo and other branded materials were designed by none other than benny gold (you may know him from the design of most of the materials for HUF and MASH in san francisco).

someone buy one of these quick so we can have a race to see who can take apart and reassemble it the fastest at the niche 3 year party!

NICHE: 3 year anniversary banger!

Seriously?? Where the hell did 3 years go. I said last year after doing nothing for our 2 year anniversary that we would definitely do something for year 3. Well the time has come, and it’s going down! Next Saturday, October 11th we will have a limited 3 year t-shirt release at the Camden store from 7-10pm. Then the party moves up the street to Tutto Mundo. We are bringing Raleigh’s own Son of Sam to do the mixing for your audio enjoyment. Come have a drink with us and help us celebrate 3 years in biz!

mashXcinelli

cinelli mash bike

every year, the cycling world travels to interbike to show off their wares. much like streetwear, the majority of the cycling market is driven by hype. i have always been a fan of the mash guys, and i attribute most of my curiosity toward fixed gear cycling to them. they released this excellent example at interbike this past week, and its refreshing to see a fixed bike thats seems to aimed at the rider, not the market. i’d be willing to bet that someone will put hot pink wheels and stickers all over it or something, but i will take mine just like this, thank you very much.

i cant wait until all the hypebeasts buy this up and the set their backs on fire with that pursuit geometry!

as always, theres more at mashsf.com…
